Chris Birbeck
As a coaching supervisor, I have a reputation for co-creating honest and meaningful spaces and relationships which deliver for the coaches I work with, in terms of short term outputs and longer-term outcomes. Naturally intuitive, I bring authenticity to the coaching supervision space and co-create honest dialogue which enables the coaches to feel supported, challenged and accountable for decisions and actions.
From feedback, my clients say that I bring an holistic approach to the coaching supervision spaces and many feel that this supports both their development as coaches and coaching supervisors, as well as their development as individuals.
Experience and Development
Following a career as a nurse, a patient safety expert and a Director for professional and educational quality, in the NHS, I have continued to support health and social care professional and organisations. As a Leadership Associate for the NHS Leadership Academy (NHS England), I am frequently involved in the coaching and leadership development of Executive and Board level clients and teams.
I have a passionate interest in quality and improvement, working for large, strategic and complex organisations to drive quality to the top of the Board agendas.
I am currently a coach on the NHS HFMA Coaching Faculty and a coaching supervisor for the Akeso coaches as well as the coaching faculty at Bedford Hospitals NHS Trust.
Certificate in International Healthcare Management from Yale University.
MSc from Westminster University in Evaluation in Clinical Practice, Research and Audit.
Post Graduate Diploma from Nottingham University in Health Care Leadership
I am an Honorary Visiting Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University (MBA Programme)
Specialisms in Supervision
I have supported coaches and coaching supervisors moving through their accreditation processes. I am intuitive and see connections and systems at play.
Interest Outside of Coaching
I like to keep fit and healthy. I enjoy the outdoors as well as meeting with friends for meals and relaxation in London. I love travel and look forward to visiting Japan in 2025.
