Who are we?

Beginning as an informal group of coaching professionals committed to the development of their craft and themselves, CoachingCraft has become a ‘Community of Practice’ where coaches are encouraged to develop their own, unique coaching signature style.

CoachingCraft was originally the brainchild of Jeff Matthews at The Madison Group. According to Jeff, “I bought the domain names about 20 years ago and had always intended to do something like this, but only in recent years, when I reduced my own delivery time and rethought how I wanted to make a contribution, did we finally get it together and make it a thing”.

With the introduction of a membership platform and the supporting infrastructure to go with it (launched in October of 2024), we can now make cogent offers of the curated learning materials, CPD sessions and supervision.

We have attracted an enviable group of professionals. The few shown below are those who have put themselves forward to be part of our faculty – that means they are available to support you, both one-to-one and in group supervisions, train you as an accredited coach, and host and run our regular CPD sessions.

Testimonials

“I’m a big fan of this unique community for Executive Coaches. Coaching is important work, but it’s quite a solitary, opaque thing; and our corporate membership of Coaching Craft means that our coaches have a ‘gang’ that really understands what they do; and can support them.

It’s a place to come for a reboot, to learn about the latest topics that are important, and to share experiences. As well as the webinars and discussion groups, there’s a repository of back catalogue information and it’s overseen by Jeff Matthews – supervisor extraordinaire.  I’m really proud to support Coaching Craft.”

Wilsey Mockett,
European Talent Director, Panasonic Europe

“Coaching Craft has provided high quality professional development sessions to support our coach network for many years now. We are pleased to continue to work with such an excellent responsive reliable and insightful provider.”

Sarah Rann,
Chair of Akeso

“A note to say huge thanks for presenting and curating the latest Coaching Craft session. I’ve just watched it back and found it so stimulating and resonant.

Working as a coach within our mutual corporate client, your session really spoke to a number of questions I have had of late: going beyond the models or processes; adapting to coachees who are advancing with AI in their own work and lives; and what now for 1:1 coaching?

This has been such a timely session as I consider my own signature style and purpose now as a coach.

Hopefully one day I will get to attend Coaching Craft in real time, although through the video you have helped me to step into the rich discussion.”

Alison Freer,
Leadership Development Specialist

“Coaching craft provides high quality professional development for any coach who is eager to reflect on their own practice and learn from that of other dedicated and skilled coaches.

Every session provides challenge and support. I recommend the sessions to new and experienced coaches and I attend whenever I am able.”
